Tuition
Based in Dorking, Dave is available for tuition to drummers aged 7 and up ranging from beginner to advanced. Lessons are tailored to the needs of the student; whether you wish to learn the fundamentals of the drums or target a specific technique or area, Dave can guide you along the way to becoming the drummer you want to be.
Lessons take place over a half hour, 45 minute or hour period either in the comfort of your own home or in Dave's home drum room with the kit listed in the "Equipment" section. In order for you to get the most out of your lesson, each lesson has a plan with sheet music written in advanced based on what Dave thinks you need to learn or, if requested, targeting a specific technique.
Dave has a full DBS check so is therefore able to teach children as well as adults.
Why learn to play the drums?
There are a lot of benefit that come from drumming, ranging from reducing stress to developing confidence. Studies have also shown that learning to play the drums helps children understand multiplication tables, division and maths formulas more easily.
Online Lessons
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Dave has offered online lessons over Zoom. In order to make these as engaging and interactive as possible, Dave records his drum kit with 6 microphones through Zoom and a vocal microphone to speak into, so it's like you're in the room with him. Dave is also able to control any songs, backing tracks or even a metronome using his sampling pad to take the stress out of the student's hands. Learning drums online has never been easier!

Grades
Dave teaches Rockschool grades to those who wish to have their abilities tested, and currently has a 100% pass rate from his students so you couldn't be in safer hands.
